Working with Financial Advisors and Product Sales Professionals, I help business owners establish and implement retirement plans using creative, efficient and often unique plan designs.
With over 20 years of experience in the retirement industry in roles ranging from service desks to sales, I’ve helped Financial Advisors close thousands of plans with billions dollars in assets.
In my current role as Director of Sales for Associated Pension Consultants, I have had the good fortune to work with a wide variety of products and their sales teams (American Funds, Principal, John Hancock, Empower, Vanguard, Fidelity, CUNA, T Rowe Price, Equitable, Ameritas, Transamerica, , Nationwide, Lincoln, etc.). This role has given me the chance to witness the various sales styles of their professionals allowing me to be more effective for my advisors. In addition, I have also been working closely with the sales professionals for the various investments offered on their platforms.
I gladly take the time to help advisors that are looking to get started with retirement plans by training them on key features business owners focus on to find a new provider or start a plan. In addition, I work with seasoned veterans that are looking for information on industry trends, competitor information, etc.
On a personal note, I have been married for almost 30 and have 3 children (19 year old daughter and 17 year old twin boys). I am the 2021 Leukemia & Lyphoma Society Man of the Year. my main “hobby” is raising money to help eradicate pediatric cancer. We are very much a “beach family” as I have spent all my summers in Breezy Point NY.

Richard Sweeney
Is the Regional Sales Director for Associated Pension Consultant that covers New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Richard has over 15 years of experience in the retirement plan space working with Financial advisors, Plan Sponsor, and Record Keeping Partners to help strategize, implement, and establish a retirement plan that streamlined, and effective for all parties. From the most basic of plans to more complex plan designs including New Comparability, and Cash Balance, Richard has the background, knowledge, and understanding of service needed to ensure your plan runs efficiently. He spends most of his time cultivating new opportunities and helping educate clients and financial professionals about the importance of plan design, and how it can impact and improve their retirement plan.
Richard resides in Moorestown, NJ with his wife Suzanne, and their two children, Sean, and Meredith. He loves to be able to give back to his community, enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, coaching, golfing, skiing, and staying as active as possible.
